Double bubble condensation barrier consists of a radiant barrier foil top to repel heat when the sun beats down on the roofing and siding. Double bubble insulation is used in horse barns and garages that do not require full time heat. An unheated garage or farm building needs protection from condensation when the dew point is reached inside a metal building. For any pole barn unfinished wall system we sell 6 thick friction fit insulation that is installed between the posts from the inside after the building is erected.

By insulating a non insulated building the use is completely changed. In a non insulated pole barn there will be a large amount of heat transferred in and out.

Not only will you have trapped moisture in the blanket causing rot rust oxidation mold etc the damp blanket will provide less and less r value as the moisture builds. This blanket comes in 3 4 6 and 8 widths and provides a minimum of r19 installed. Pole barns are no different and can achieve the same insulation performance as an everyday home. Pole barn insulation blankets fiberglass lose r value once damp and it will get damp in a pole building.

Pole barn or post frame buildings are typically constructed using wood framing with steel roofing and siding. Once fiberglass insulation gets damp it will stay damp. Steel roofing is a highly conductive material in terms of heat transfer.
